The Open Squad have beaten Manor 49-20 in the regional play off to qualify for the National Club League Entry Tournament on 5 th June
at Sheffield Netball Centre. This was a superb team performance in a strong game with Telstars defending well and maintaining high shooting
averages. The benefits of a strong squad showed when team changes were made the performance remained consistently high. There was good
support from the bench no matter who played which showed our strong team spirit. Phil Webb (WD) was named player of the match by the two
regional umpires.
The NCL is England ’s premier competition for Netball Clubs, featuring the top 56 sides from all over the country. This year Anita
and the Open Squad are determined to win a place in the NCL after narrowly missing out in last season’s NCL Entry Tournament.
