A good time was had by all at the Club’s Presentation
Evening held at The Next Generation Club in Dartford. The weather
was fine for the barbecue on the outside terrace and the bar
did a good trade throughout the evening. Anita gave a speech
outlining the successes of the past year including the Barbados
Tour, two teams reaching the Finals of the National Youth Championships,
our Open Squad narrowly missing qualification to the National
Clubs League and promotion achieved in two divisions of the North
West Kent Winter League. She also spoke of the need for senior
players to put something back into the club by helping with the
growing numbers in the younger age groups. This has already started
very successfully with a number of girls umpiring junior league
games, supervising teams and assisting with coaching and club
administration. A training programme is being developed to cover
all the aspects of officiating required to make the game and
our club even more successful.
The following presentations were then made for last season:

Anita was thanked and presented with flowers and a gift by
Claire Carter & Amie Isham, on behalf of the girls, for
everything she does for the club and each individual. They
also expressed their thanks for the exceptional time they had
and experience gained whilst on the Club Tour of Barbados.
The D.J. who was very impressed with the respect and attention
shown by the girls to Anita during her speech then publicly
expressed how special he thought she was! The evening continued
with a disco until late.
We would like to thank Lesley Dadds and her team for organising
this enjoyable and successful evening.
