Update on Telstars progress at Talent level

Halfway through the season has seen our three talented players, Kim, Amanda and Channel making the best of opportunities playing at a higher level.

Kimberley Piper has grasped her chances and is a regularly named squad member appearing alongside the selected international players. She is often mentioned in match reports for her work ethic and astounding court play.

Amanda Hicking, whilst up against older and more experienced shooters finally took the opportunity to show how far she had come last week at Leeds. She played three quarters of the match and came away with a shooting average in the late eighties to her credit, giving the coach a dilemma as to who should have the opportunity to play in the next game.

Last, but by no means least Channel Charlery, the youngest of the three has had an amazing start to the New Year, by being asked to attend National Training weekend with the England athletes who are preparing for the IFNA Championships in March. Following on from this, she was also given court time at Leeds to work on her new position of WD.

All three players continue to do Telstars proud with their achievements and committment  to netball. Some of Telstars girls have been lucky enough to see them play for Brunel recently at Guildford, an experience enjoyed by players and spectators.

Keep up the good work girls.
