The newly formed Surrey Storm NTL team, taking over from the winning Brunel Hurricanes NTL side, has recently held its trials with many successes for young netballers in Kent.

Telstars have yet again proved they are a club with a lot of talent among their players. We are thrilled to announce that Kimberley Piper and Channel Charlery have returned to play in the squad and are joined by Fran Plom, Harriet Johnston, Adjoa Kwarteng and Fran Desmond.We look forward to seeing them play in the NTL league, which starts in Sheffield on 5th December.

While they have a hard act to follow with Brunel's unbeaten record, we are sure that this new franchise will prove to be one of the NTL sides that are at the top of the table at the end of the season. Good luck for the season and well done to all of the Telstars players involved.

Congratulations also to Telstars player, Sophie Ware, a former member of the Brunel Hurricanes squad, is now a member of Loughborough Lightening NTL, where she is at University. We wish her luck during the season.

Last, but by no means least, Telstars player, Abby O'Hara, formerly of Brunel Hurricanes NTL, has made the huge leap to the Open Surrey Storm squad. Not only has she been picked for the long squad, but recently after further training and trials she has been named in the final 15. When you look at such names as Rachel Dunn, Sonia Mkoloma, Geva Mentor and Tamsin Greenway who are also among those named, she is moving in talented circles indeed. A superb effort Abby and extremely well deserved. Abby's passion for the game has always been apparent and through sheer hard work and determination she has managed to make a place for herself in the Surrey Storm squad at the very young age of 20. We can now look forward to seeing if Abby can get onto the court for Surrey Storm this season.
