Telstars recently returned from another successful tour, this time to the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, from the idyllic surroundings of their hotel, the sightseeing tours of the island and the high quality of the netball played.

It is difficult to measure the importance of these tours in terms of team building, sufficient to say that the girls have made life long friendships with each other and were superb ambassadors not only for netball and Telstars, but also for British travelling abroad. We were extremely proud of the way the girls conducted themselves and we received nothing but praise from everyone we were associated with.

With two television appearances and coverage on the back page of the newspaper, Telstars also managed to achieve their aim of raising the profile of netball in St. Lucia and encouraging young girls to take up the sport.
