Mid Season Squad Update

Premier League

Telstars Premier Squad have worked incredibly hard this season and so far their results have been exceptional. Half way through the season and they have yet to be beaten. In fact they are playing so well that they are the only team in the entire Premier League who have yet to lose a game. However, Anita and the girls are very aware this is only the mid way point and they need to continue to strive for a place in division 2.

NWK League

All squads have played really well to date. Telstars 1 and 2 lead division 2, Telstars 3 joint 1st in division 5, Telstars 4 lead division 6, Telstars 5 are sitting very comfortably in the centre of division 7 and Telstars 6, who are only U14 and U15, are beginning to compete in their first senior season.

Telstars 7, 8 and 9, who are in the Junior League, are learning how to compete, often against older opposition, they are learning how to gel as a team, to have commitment to their club and team, and their skills are being practised in a match situation. In all cases the coaches are extremely proud of the way the girls are conducting themselves.

U16 Regional League

This competition is only in its initial stages with just two rounds completed. So far Telstars have been hugely successful in gaining two wins, but again it is early days and the squad and coaches are very aware of the need to keep the momentum going if Telstars are to reach the National Finals again this year.

Senior County League

Telstars are presently in 2nd place with two games in hand compared with their closest opposition. The competition here is still wide open as every participating club looks to reach regional level.

Junior County League

Telstars U16 are reaping the benefits of their hard work and have achieved a 100% winning record, so far. Hopefully this will continue after Christmas and they can maintain their winning ways to the end of the season.

Telstars U14, a very new squad this year, are beginning to gel as a group and have moved into 2nd place, with the prospect of the rest of the season to complete their challenge of a top finish.
